Maitland Tourism is the Tourism Unit of Maitland City Council and operates from the Maitland Visitor Information Centre, which is located on the corner of the New England Highway and High Street, Maitland.
Maitland Tourism is has three key areas of responsible. The first is the operations of the Maitland Visitor Information Centre which operates 363 days of the year and responds to around 80,000 annually. The second key responsibility includes management of the Citys flagship events including Hunter Valley Steamfest, and Bitter & Twisted International Boutique Beer Festival. The final key area of responsibility includes strategic planning and marketing of the destination in conjunction with the local tourism industry, regional and state bodies.

Maitland Tourism has an Industry Partnership program offering businesses the opportunity to become involved with the marketing and promotional activities that are undertaken on an annual basis. In July 2006 this program will replace the old membership package and will operate on a user pays system, where businesses can pick and choose the components that most suit their needs.
